Bubulcus & Bolotas

Tânia and Waldemar, owners of Bubulcus & Bolotas Campground, made their dream come true. They created a place where nature and tranquillity can be truly experienced. B&B Camping is an ecological camping site, solidly anchored on sustainability, in all its aspects.

The idea was to give it the character of an extensive nature camping site, where the campers are well separated from each other, much alike some campgrounds that exist in the National Parks of the USA. They created the campground in the Alentejo on a terrain of 7.5 ha in long untouched Mediterranean forest, near Vimieiro, Arraiolos (Portugal).

It is in the middle of nowhere and it is in the middle of nothing. That means that even for basic needs like water and electricity everything had to be installed from scratch. They made the camping as sustainable as possible. It is autonomous and all energy is solar based with no consumption of fossil fuels.

Camping Rosário

Camping Rosário is located in the eastern Alentejo, Portugal's most natural province. In the olive grove that surrounds our farmhouse we have created a number of well-shaded pitches, a large terrace under the orange trees and a comfortable swimming pool. The property borders the Lucefecit River and a branch of the Alqueva Lake and it’s surrounded by the typical Alentejo landscape.

The campsite offers tranquility and peace in a rural environment, it’s also situated at an excellent location for outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, hiking, bird watching and stargazing and for discovering the cultural and historical treasures of the Elvas-Évora-Monsaraz area.

Camperstop Messines

After a year traveling through Europe in a motorhome, Andre & Franka fell in love with this free lifestyle and Portugal. Especially the rural, less touristic part of the Algarve had stolen their hearts. Since december 2013 they now welcome guests on their motorhome parking in a lovely, green valley surrounded by meandering hills full of cork, eucalyptus and pine trees, cystus roses and oleander. Turtles can be discovered on one of many hikes in the area. Enjoy the views towards the ocean, the sierra de Monchique or the Alentejo from some of the highest points in the area.

The motorhome parking, which from May 15 to September 15 is also open for guests with tents, is fully self sustainable: potable water is pumped up from 200m deep, electricity and hot water comes from solar power and a biological "fossa" recycles all wastewater back into nature. Due to the used materials the site is integrated in the surrounding landscape, to give the visiting guests the impression of being part of nature, but with the added luxuries of wi-fi, showers and toilets. To fully enjoy the starry sky only a minimum of light is present on the terrain.

Tamanco

"Down to Earth Up With style", the slogan of this green, lush small campsite, an unique outpost where life seems simple.

Near the beautiful Silver Coast of Portugal, between Porto and Lisbon, Camp Tamanco has a wonderful vibe, created by owners Hans and Irene.

Pitch your tent or park the campervan at one of their spacious places in between orange and pine trees. On the hill behind the campground, pot-belly pigs, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs potter about like good friends in the children’s farm.

Go hiking in pristine green or along the sea, fill your lungs with fresh salty sea air. Explore the area on a bike and end the day with some campfire cooking.

A Cantina, Cafe & Eatery is a meeting point for everyone. The small scale “brasserie” offers delicious no-nonsense meals. All dishes are homemade and lovingly à la minute prepared (whenever possible with fresh products from local farmers).

Or just have a drink at the fireplace, relax and meet other travelers from all over the globe.

Quinta Da Fonte

Campsite Quinta da Fonte is situated in the center of Portugal and on a half-hectare parcel of land. The campground adjoins a small, crystal-clear stream.

You are free to choose your own camping spot in consultation with Liedewij or Jolein.

Parking facilities are available on the lot close to the main house.

Sanitary facilities are located in the main house and in the adjacent buildings, kept to strict standard of hygiene. Hot showers are provided free of charge.

The campsite( 15 tents) has tent spots near the small brook. There is a small field accessible for small caravans and campervans, also electricity available there.

Quinta De Odelouca

Quinta de Odelouca is a small rural campsite with 25 pitches in the Algarve. You will find it in the midst of nature, surrounded by glorious views of the hill country of the Serra de Monchique. Situated in the Ribeira de Odelouca river basin, away from the crowded coastal strip and surrounded by 3 dams, it is an ideal location for families with children, couples, walkers, cyclists, fisherman, suppers and photographers. Hike through the silent hills and along the many small rivers, or go for a spectacular cliff walk along the beautiful coast of the Algarve. There are lots of possibilities!

Enjoy the ultimate peace in the shadows of the olive trees, the panoramic views, the birds and the wild flowers. In summer nights you sit under a roof of billions of stars. Nothing gives a warm summer night a better feeling than the soothing sound of grasshoppers and crickets, the scream of the little owl, the frogs and the tawny owl with her mysterious “..oehoehoehoe..” in the distance.
